Thank you Pastor Paul. For years I just read scripture and went about my business sometime understanding and sometimes not know how to interpret what I have read. Recently I read a chapter and then look your teaching up here on YouTube. I have so much more understanding now...thanks to your teaching. May God continue to bless you and give discernment in His word.

I love this teaching. 1 Cor 10:16 takes it even a step further and indicates that the Lord's Supper is actually fellowship with the body. Participation there is translated from koinonia. So we need to make doubly sure that our hearts are set right when we take it.

I remember back in 1997 I used to go to Bible Chapel and the decans when we had the Lord's supper to some members of the congregation weren't allow to participate because they said that they weren't worthy I used to struggle with that until this teaching I thought different than this teaching now after so many years I come to realization that I was wrong to because I was scare sometime thinking and asking the Lord if I was worthy to receive the Lord's supper so because one of the brother with alcohol problem he wasn't allow like many. I thanks the Lord Jesus Christ for giving you the effort to study and explain such a great principle amen.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (November 26), 1 Corinthians 11:23-34 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Promises to Remember." This can also be read on Maundy Thursday. The hymn, "Go, My Children, with My Blessing, " written by Jaroslav J. Vajda (1919-2008), is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination. Corinth: the New York City/Las Vegas of the Bible. Agree or disagree? Feel free to reply.

The more I hear these verses in 1 Corinthians 11, the more I feel Paul is talking about the bread and wine in the Lord's supper being the actual body and blood of Christ! The consequences of being weak and sick or dying after taking communion in an unworthy manner, or not discerning the body and blood in communion seems proportionally grave.
