Wowww! For once a non Pentecostal pastor speak regarding the gifts of the Spirit. 1st Pastor who really really speaks about these AWESOME gifts. I’m not Pentecostal, but The Lord Baptized in His Holy Spirit. me at a non denominational church. The pastor of that church didn’t believe in this. He thought I was crazy. The I didn’t know what had happened to me that day, but The Lord would wake me up with His voice and told me that He had baptized me from heaven. And the gifts he had given me. Praise The Lord! Dear pastor Paul, Thank you so much for these sermons on 1st cor. 13. I listened to the two first ones today. "The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman, a perfect gentleman..." This is such a powerful comparison and I truly believe you've nailed it. I've been listening to your sermons over the years and I'm grateful for your down to earth no-nonsense approach. I would join your congregation in a heart beat.

Great teaching however I would disagree that tongues MUST ALWAYS be praise. I believe that it can also be a message for the general body hence the need for interpretation in a corporate setting. I wouldn't limit the Holy Spirit to say it's always only praise.
