I love PF Chang's and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I also love eating authentic Chinese restaurants. Eat wherever you want and people shouldn't shame you for it. And David, Target is from Minneapolis, MN.

Had PF Changs in Vegas once for a work event. Was super excited to try it. Unfortunately I was so disappointed. Terrible food.

The fact that people complain about this to begin with proves some people have too much time on their hands.

“I’d take authentic Chinese food any day of the week. But sometimes this stuff is great to eat” smth like that -JLin

As a life long New Yorker non asian white male (don't know if it's in other states)... I've never had PF Changs, I always just thought it was over priced white mans Chinese... and always prefered mom, and pop Chinese shops with people I grew up eating from, and still do to this day (some of em that are still around).. I feel the need to try it out now though lol.

They're different lanes lol, it's like saying do I want Korean fried chicken/ similar drunk foods catering to western palates, or do I want a traditional doenjang jjigae/ kimchi/ seollongtang/ bossam?

In the Anthony Bourdain episode of No Reservations when he visits Hop Kee and orders the Chinese dishes from his past and how there was the phantom menus, his guest says (essentially) that the food the non-Chinese and the Chinese families were eating were both equally delicious.

Foods evolved. It’s great to have creative people creating new taste or twists on ethnic foods. I love to go to a restaurant that have a mix of different ethnic origin foods. I love more diverse foods.

I am Asian from Asia and I gotta admit — PF Chang’s is really not bad

PF Chang is overpriced. Where I live, there are plenty of great Chinese restaurants that have better food and aren't overpriced. PF Chang also has a very limited menu. Why should I bother?

No it's not wrong. While Chinese food is so much more than just PF chang's, it's great that PF chang is offering delicious and easily accessible Chinese food in the form a corporate chain.

I can't comment, never had it... but my take on the westernized chinese food is that... if it taste good, cheap, fills you up... it can't be bad... having said that, never gonna compare it as authentic but still has its place.

That's the very definition of a 1st World problem.

Because, in a 1st World Country, you have a plethora of options for every type of gastronomy.

In a 3rd World Country, something like PF Changs is a blessing from the gods.

Which is my case.

But me personally, I go strictly for the ramen, deserts and drinks.

My first of PF Changs experience was the one next to my apartment building in Long Beach, as a drunken late nite on the fly need for junk food noodles. I’m sorry but it was the worst experience ever, just so awful, sickeningly oily and artificial too salty and sweet sauces. I get people like those suburban chains but yuck, and these sit down chains are so expensive.
