Abductors and adductors are the muscles for higher kicks. But for stronger kicks, I suggest leg exercises that involve pushing yourself up (squats, explosive squats, etc.). And remember to stretch 👍

My karate school uses some of your stretches and exercises during class. We warm up and stretch at the beginning, and also place our hands on the wall, lean, and kick continuously. But I never knew we were training our abductor muscles!

Even though I loved doing Tae Kwon Do where I did, we didn't train it in there, and I only really realized how important it is some years later.

Another tip: Look up some ballet workouts, no joke, it's pretty hard and you might not wanna walk afterwards, but you'll notice very significant improvement in flexibility, strength, balance and control.

Strenghtening is so important, couldnt do a highkick for like a year, was stretching daily 3-4 reps, still no progress. Then starting to actually strenghtening the hips and woala in 2 weeks could do highkick and sidekick easy
