Yup, bought 4 plants for $20, was able to divide and share all of them with my sister in law.

Any new plant I buy I try to do this, even if I keep all parts it's nice to have insurance if one doesn't take off.

A year ago I bought a snake plant with one growth point. When I repotted it at home I found the pot was bulging because there was a new growth starting at the edge! It took a couple weeks to emerge, but now that baby is bigger than the original plant.
