Constantine II: War Between Brothers

Показать описание
Constantine II, son of Constantine the Great and the brother of Constantius II and Constans I. Constantine II's reign is shrouded in mystery. What is known is not flattering, he resented the division of the empire between his brothers and felt he deserved more. He also tried to become the overseer of Constans' realm and finally was slain in a small ambush set by his brother after invading his territory.

A most phenomenal documentary about this legendary Roman dynasty, which had an impact so great on the empire that it would change the world's religious makeup forever.

Great video. Just ordered 2 ancient coins of Constantine I and Constantine II and reviewing their history.

Constantine shouldn't have killed Crispus. And he should have given it ALL to him, his other sons be damned. They could have gotten along just fine as army commanders or something. At least Constantius II could have. The other two surviving sons were useless.

From one of the last great emperors of Rome, to the second and last recipient of the Bibulus Award. Shame.

If only Constantine’s dynasty hadn’t been so freaking stupid, then the empire could’ve gotten some time to catch its breath.

The lust for power and it's corrupting effect led to the Romans slaughtering each other instead of the barbarians

The secular world recognize no difference between Arian Christianity and actual Christianity.
Arianism teaches that humans can be God just like Jesus because they teach Jesus was a creature…. Today Unitarianism is similar. That’s is why it fits so well with Universalism.. hey.. why not just say we can all be Gods?
With this context in mind so called early “Christian” history is made coherent. Why so-call Christians seem to feel justified slaughtering each other for power.. rather than submitting to the eternal Son of God Who Is God.

It was an Arian who ridiculously called Constantine the 13th Apostle.. (Eusebius of Nicomedia). This same guy was teacher of the Sons..

i thought matthias who replaced judas was the thirteenth apostle? oh wait nevermind constantine the great is a fucking thug and just took that shit roman style. "I AM Rome, and where i lay my feet is Rome." - Aulus Plautius (at least in the show lol, would be cool if the romans actually spoke latin to show the language barrier but hey ill take what i can get)

Mark Antony in the 4th Century. Brave and somewhat capable, but a arrogant wojak.
