China slams Philippines after it unveils locations of bases American forces will use

Beijing officials have criticised the Philippines, after Manila announced the locations of four military bases to be used by American forces. One is near the disputed South China Sea and another is not far from Taiwan.

The Philippines has every right to protect its own territory. If the Philippine government deemed it necessary to allow US forces to have access in its military bases or within its territory so be it. As a sovereign nation no country can dictate the Philippines with regards to its foreign or domestic affairs, not even China or United States. I'm sure the Philippine government's action is for the best interest of its people and country as a whole.

Therefore, it's very stupid to claim that they will speed up military build up due to the Philippine-US EDCA agreement. It is more appropriate that the actions of the Philippines and America accelerated due to the rapid militarization of China in the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea and its threat to neighboring countries.

Whether there is EDCA or not. The Philippines will be drag in case of conflict with other nations due to 1951 Mutual Defence Treaty. If China is a a good neighbor and friend without encroaching the Philippines EEZ this maybe the game changer to have Peace and Stability in the area.

The Philippines tried bilateral talks with China, however, China still bullied the PH. This leads to asking help from USA. Basically, China provoke PH by harming fishermen. (Have Clips).
