We Swapped a 25HP Racing Engine on a Derelict Yard Kart

We install a big valve 225cc Tillotson racing engine on a Manco Dingo yard kart! This Manco Dingo IX is the bigger of the two Dingos made, and this one has a Honda GX240 installed. The Dingo is in poor condition- the engine plate is cut up, the GX240 doesn't fit properly on the frame, the frame is bent meaning the kart doesn't turn properly, it doesn't have brakes, and one of the font wheels has no wheel bearings! So, installing a racing Tillotson 225cc engine required a lot of modification to the chassis.

Have you guys ever thought about using a suspension seat system in a kart that's particularly hard on your back? Spirngfield seat suspension kit could take some of the pain away? Would be interested to see.

Hey John, that is a Dingo 9, not 4.
Great video! With that frame, ATV tires at low pressure would act as your suspension.

We had to go to the thicker engine mounting plate on our go karts, the thinner ones started breaking up. Definitely a must for off road!

I would say Charles and John did quite well bringing the Dingo back to life. Once they get the bugs worked out of it it should rip pretty darn good.

Hey guys very nice new shop! Its so cool to see you guys grow with the channel, shop and infrastructure...
Its because you are all easy dudes, like the sort of guys which I would drink a beer with... Since I watched the first couple vids, it was like hangin out with some dudes... with the feeling of see old friends. And this is what makes you guys so unique, at least in my case.
