The boat is a 1984 addictor 190 i believe. Been in the family since the 90s you can find them on Facebook market place periodically and there’s also Facebook groups for them. Not super hard to find

This is proper parenting. Kids outside experiencing life out side of safe spaces. Doesn’t have to be boating, it could be basketball, skateboarding, pellet gun shooting. Anything where they are not staring at a little screen comparing their lives to others and feeing depressed about it. From one dad to another I salute you!

Nothing like the smell and sound of a two stroke early in the morning at full noise ❤

That boat could use some trim tabs! :)

We put a 35 hp Johnson on a Zodiac once. You literally had to keep 2 people on the front to keep it from coming out of the water. 😂

My brother and I did these when I was a kid about 15 to 20 years ago. He was 5 years older than me so he drove. He scared the shit outta me, so I pushed him in the water when we got back to the dock in front of a full line of people in the early 2000s. He walked around wet the rest of the day...

Such a cute video of a father teaching his kid how to be responsible for his own actions, , a good lesson that will serve him well in life .

I had this working toy boat with a remote control that I used to absolutely love as a kid. Can’t imagine his joy haha. Hope he realizes just how lucky he is to have that dad

My brother and I got into serious trouble in the 1970's with these boats at Disney World. We'd come along-side other boaters and turn away quickly giving them a bath with our rooster-tails.

I remember those boats from when I was little. So much fun, I wouldn't mind having one now.

Reading these comments shaking my head...
"That thing needs trim tabs"...and...
"Had one just like it. Except it was blue. And had a 40hp. And it was 16ft. And it wasn't the same".

My God father uncle bought me one of these in the 90s to drive I think it had a 35hp motor with a 25 cover it was awsome but when the waves went whitcaps you had to get it in carefully really only good on calm water but we were 80s 90s kids with boomer patents that knew how to have a good time. Times were different a car seat was a RedOwl Box for groceries lined with blankets I sat in the middle of the front seat armrest to see better. I heald Grandpa's beer on a liquor run for the 4th of July party because more people keept coming and coolers and keg was getting short. No seat belts no helmets sugar cereal and leave come back for lunch if you want dinner is 5/6 is be home when the street lights come on you can play close to home till midnight on the weekends. Winter 9pm when the rink closed.
