A climate group I am in is currently pondering if this is safe to share in the group (!)

At high altitude the difference in temperature and pressure would cause condensation, turning gas to liquid or ice. H2o and co2 would mix to form carbonic acid. Regardless, heat is not particles that pass through and/or bounce off things, it is solar radiation that behaves very different than illustrated here.

One assumes this is a simplistic illustration of Stefan's Law, yet is no a good proof of the physics related to the global warming debate, because the state of the atmosphere in question here is not one that his fixed and stable as the greenhouse metaphor suggests. The Troposphere is highly fluid, dynamic and changes constantly, expanding and contracting with heat and the seasons. Thus, to claim "the node rises" (and therefore the earth's must rise accurately ), which is true by the mathematical formulae, yet is not necessarily true by specific physical application, such as the medium through which these sun's rays and earth's reflections will be passing. You are right to put the CO2 clouds there, but the medium itself is not fixed; it is variable. When the Troposphere expands due to heat then those specific "greenhouse" gas molecules (CO2) present will find more space between them, and thus those infrared rays bouncing of earth may still pass through and out to space just as normal, and the the imagined heightened node predicted by mathematics, may become an inaccurate explication of a rather complex phenomenon with unpredictable variables. In short, the math is no "proof" of global warming, except in theory. That's fine. Let's state that. Because we still need real scientific atmospheric observation and real measurements.
