He's a beast. I love how on that last lap he keeps checking his shoulder and then says, "boys it's time to go and guess what none of you can hang so see you later" Then it's roadrunner time.

Jakob went threshold pace for the whole race then ran a 53 second last lap looking like he was jogging. I can’t wait to see this guy in the Olympics

Saw a few comments saying that folks should of taken it out faster to tire Jakob. The irony is that a lot of his races are lead from the front and grind the pace, that’s his strong suit not necessarily his finishing kick. I think he’s trying out new tactics before the Olympics and testing his finishing speed (also doesn’t want to tire himself out unnecessarily, just needs to get the W with the least fatigue)

Looking forward to see what he can do against the best in the world at The OG. He is will need some real mental toughness to get through the 1500m. Not saying he won't be he has some demons to banish from previous championship races. It looks like he is coming in on peak form so that won't be a problem but like I said is he mentally over those previous races?
