My husband and I attended your concert when I was about six weeks pregnant. Our baby daughter died a little over a month after she was born. When I hear this song, I hear his voice singing these words to me. It brings me peace. It lifts me. It feels me with the strength I need to carry on, and closer to him. What I find incredible about Jacob is that he manages to be mainstream, very accessible to everyone, and yet he never falls into technical simplicity, always presenting us with harmonies that seem to come from another universe. His works are musical masterpieces in every sense, and beyond just being beautiful or conveying lovely messages, they’re literally tools to pierce our souls with the lightness of a feather.
