There should be a law forbidding YouTube to place ads in the middle of an Rachmaninoff concerto.

The conductor sweats every note, that's what I call work ethic. How does a musician in a grand orchestra feel when he plays such delicate tunes, they can't allow themselves to drown in sentimentality and pathos, every expression of their trembling bodies has to be 100% accurate and yet convey the deepest emotions. And this is required of every and the last musician, they can't let themselves get carried away as a group neither, drifting from here to there. How does this organism breath with such controlled precision and yet create such stunning emotional movements, rising and falling, a sea of longing and torment.

I am 61 years of age and have only discovered this wonderful piece of music in the last couple of years ( since gaining access to utube ). The more I keep watching/ listening, the more fonder and appreciative I find myself of it.

The bit at 9:25 is almost too gorgeous. I love the tempo, I love hearing them hang onto every note.

Living alone
I think of all the friends I've known
But when I dial the telephone
Nobody's home
All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore 🥺

Both the soloist, and the orchestra are brilliant. I’ve heard this piece played a million times, I’ve even played it from within the orchestra, and there are things I hear in this live concert that I’ve never heard before. Wow!

I love the way these pianists almost go into a trance when they play the second movement. How wonderful!

It's always a good sign when you find the Korean and Russian alphabet in the commentaries.

Bravo! Rachmaninoff was a genius when it comes to turning raw emotion into music. How can you not shed tears when listening to this concerto? This music ascends into Heaven.

To me, the most haunting moment was when she turns her head towards the sound of the clarinet in the first few bars, just after the flute speaks; it is an eternal moment I'll never forget. Her response to this sound was perfect when the voice of her soul leaked from her fingers onto the keys. Thank you for such a wonderful recording.

Seeing this reminds me of moments of acceptance and release for clients that are holding on to trauma and suffering in their body

Her triplets are not only beautiful but also very accurate so when she accompanies the winds, everything is in place!!!

This is a tremendous concert, the performers and the pianist are great! I think this masterpiece has the power to translate beauty, tenderness and strengh! The third section for me is quite fantastic! Thanks, God to inspire human race to create and to perform such art's work. For me, music is always filling my soul - when sometimes, gray days insist on hiding Sun's light! People who loves music are not 'all by themselves'!
