6 children ejected after driver loses control of vehicle when tire blows out on I-35, police say

Six children are hospitalized after being ejected from a vehicle on Interstate 35, according to San Antonio police.

Same thing happened in Houston recently. Two toddlers still in diapers were thrown from a SUV after an accident. Neither toddler were in seat belts or car seats. Both toddlers ended up on the busy highway before they were rescued. Parents just don't care these days. Very sad times.

#1 killer and cause for rollovers on the interstate is bad tires, it’s a shame seeing so many bad tires on the road. (Not saying that was the case here.) Seatbelts on the other hand are non-negotiable, child neglect at the highest level.

Were they legal? Some of our "uninvited guests" don't know our laws. Many have never even driven a car until they get one here. That's why our insurance premiums are sky high.

3 of those kids in the car were my friends they were on they’re way back from my friends birthday party the birthday girls mom was giving my two other friends a ride and my mom wouldn’t let me go I’m so glad my mom had said no. I’ve been praying for them because it’s barely the beginning of the school year and I would hate to lose them.

A mother at my kids school lets her kids walk around their minivan. I was behind her one afternoon and she was going pretty slow. Then as we approached a stop sign I watched her daughter, who was standing in the middle of the second row, turn walk over and sit down. She had been standing the whole time. I thought she was seated but no.
It's in a residential area, 30mph, which is no excuse. Besides, what happens when some fool doing 50mph slams into her?
