This story reminds us that people see and hear things that seem true sometimes, and then act as a mob based on false information, and it is very dangerous. And that is why doors on commercial buildings have to open out or swing both ways. They can never only open into the space. When the crush is on, you’ll never get the doors open. This became evident in 1908 in Boyertown PA. 172 people died in a theater fire because they couldn’t get the doors open.
