Yes, Canadian 10 cents and 25 cents were silver until 1968. In 1967, both 80% and 50% varieties were struck, then in 1968, both 50% silver, and 2 Nickel varieties were struck. Due to the large need of dimes, the Ottawa Mint made the 50% silver and some Nickel dimes, but in late August 1968, they contracted the Philadelphia Mint to strike more Canadian dimes! The Canadian dimes struck in Philadelphia are made of 100% nickel, but the reeding is the same as all US dimes. So in your rolls, you may eventually come across a reeding exactly the same as other US dimes, looking bright with no clad, but that will end up being a Canadian 1968 nickel dime. My last hunt gave me 2 x 1968 50% silver, and 1 x 1961 80% in a little more than 2 boxes worth. In nearly 2 years of CRH, I yet have to find an American silver dime or quarter. I pull out all American coins (to eventually cash them somehow in USA for the exchange rate) and have so far 35 rolls of US dimes, and around 20 rolls of US quarters. I hope to get a US silver before I reach the 50 rolls, making one box. That's just a hope, if I assume you average 1 silver per box or more...

Well, silver is hard to come by in dimes, but certainly there must be some varieties. Dimes are really good about that.😊

Nice 8 box dime hunt Dave! Love your dime hunt videos. My oldest silver dime found from coin roll hunting was a 1924-P merc dime. :) I haven’t found silver in dimes in a little while though.

I found 2 silver mercury dimes in my first Loomis box. Not finished opening all rolls yet.

Howz it going Dave? I've heard you comment lots of times how people doubt & put you down calling you a liar, saying you set up the rolls ahead.
Ignore them dude!! "Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!!"
3 weeks ago I found a 1947S quarter in a coinstar at one of our local Walmarts.
Much more unbelievable result: 3.5 years ago, I found at a Huntington bank (right after they bought TCF) a coin while coin-roll hunting that technically is not supposed to exist.
I haven't told anybody about it except 2 of my closest friends.
This coin in a MS62 I think went for at auction for $128, 000.
Another similar coin graded at MS58 went for $73, 500 at auction. I haven't gotten it graded yet. I want to. Either PCGS or maybe ANAC.
So you guys out there, specifically the ones which might be a little new to the hobby, have patience, study the red book & try to find a reputable coin store owner/dealer who you can trust
