H E L P !!!
My 2002 still has the factory pump and the inlet side doesn't have the big white clip, , it has a blue clip with little external access, , how do I remove that ??
I don't want to jump the gun and screw it up, , , I have a new Motorcraft unit ready and the inlet line clip is the last obstacle...

I can't get a new intank fuel pump for my 02 superduty 250. It has the 99 style pump with no California emissions..how does one switch over to a rail pump?

I have a 2002 7.3 powerstroke that will run good for weeks and then it will start running like it's not getting fuel and barely go down the road, I can pull over, turn key off and back on it might run a half mile and repeat or ten miles or more and do nothing. Any ideas what it might be?

So you don't have to remove the tank? I've been holding off on doing this myself because all the shops I've called have said you have to remove the tank to get to the pump. If you don't have to, I may try to do this today.

Why not remove the shouldered fitting?

Its right under the drivers seat, on the inside of the frame, hard to see till u get way under there, has 1 line in and 1 line or hose coming out, has 2 wires connect with small nuts, the pump is held by a bracket with 3 bolts to the frame

How do you remove the rear quick connect (horseshoe clip) on the inlet side of the fuel pump on this excursion diesel (without damaging fuel line), and do you have part number for the clip?? thanks

Lol He said expedition Would be pretty cool with an expedition with a diesel

That looks like a Ford Excursion, not Expedition. There wasn't a diesel option for the Expedition for that year in the US. Only 4.6L and 5.4L gas engines.
