The blaster is a solid quad, i learned to use a clutch on one, had alot of fun, chipped a few teeth

Blasters were of the top 3 bikes for popping wheelies with at the time.

I did chores for neighbors for months, pulling weeds, cleaning houses to afford to go to an 8th grade grad party at some posh hotel with the class. I, in tears, begged my parents to let me buy my friend's Blaster instead of attend the party. One of the best decisions of my life. 😂🤞

My 1999 Polaris Xplorer is a good mix of the two. Same 4x4 and high/low system of the sportsman but with a solid axle out back and a 400cc two stroke engine.

the 400ex was the best Sport quad in 1998 and I would take a Yamaha Wolverine over that Polaris, in 1998.

I had a blaster. It was upgraded from a 150 to a 195 (aka 200) so I could keep up with my uncle's raptor. It was a 600 so I didn't stand a chance anyway, but I could barely go through mud and when the rpms dropped I knew I was stalling.
