that's not a solution, that's just opening an autosave file. None of this fixes that corrupt file that doesn't open in the first instance

At no point during this video you actually tell us how to recover the actual corrupted file.

My tip: use Advanced Disk Recovery to try to recover the file.

My After effect does not open.
The program loads. A message "After Effects Unable to read image file" appears.
There is no project loaded. I'm trying to open the program for the first time
I can't do anything. Everything is stuck until I close it through the task manager

Autosave? Really?? I had it turned on, but glitchy AE didn't save any autosaves within an hour! It's not so much - hour of work, but really pissed me off... Fuck adobe.

I mean mine is set to 20m
I set it to 5m but then i dont know its reset

All my auto saved projects, original .aep and AME projects say the same thing: bad format or not readable. :(

I have an asus computer and accidentally did a hard reboot while after effects was still running with my composition still open. So when I went to reopen after effects afterwards all the files that I have made even from a few months ago wont open and so I can't find where the auto-save is to un-corrupt the file. Does anyone know what I should do, since all that I've tried from the video wont work for me.

Sorry but i use this shitty program called after effects, with auto save on but it aint saving, keeps resetting my fucking settings. Crashing about 10 times per hour and corrupting the fuck out of my work, so no this didnt work for me
