Taking advantage of two great product lines. The Milwaukee 1/2" SHOCKWAVE Impact Socket Set is married with the PACKOUT storage container delivering an excellent combo. These impact sockets include deep embossed numbers that are paint-filled for easy identification. They are ready for your friction ring, pin detent, or even pin-and-o-ring impact wrench. The PACKOUT box provides protection from dust and moisture as well. Both the SHOCKWAVE Impact Sockets and the PACKOUT box are covered by the @MilwaukeeTool Limited Lifetime warranty. #milwaukeetool #nothingbutheavyduty #packout

That extra space they give you, they should give you trays for your short sockets or option to buy tray’s for them so they are all together

Milwaukee has a very nice socket set no skip from 8 mm all the way up to 36 mm.
Costing me 1/3 of what I paid for my old set on the tool truck.
Very nice to work with and I can identify them real easy.
Thanks for the video Tim and nice job Milwaukee

I've been an auto technician for 10 year and haven't had to use a 20mm

Or buy some socket rails and put them in your existing pack out system and not spend even more money for a box you already have 🤷 but I guess in recent times, people have used much less logic when purchasing items than ever before. It's a neat setup but who "needs" it?? This is another "look at me" item, nothing more. Great video as always, very thorough review. Great job!!!

It’s why I love my WERA IMPAKTOR socket set. They call their color coding “stay calm” colored sockets. All of their sockets in the respective sizes are the same color. Like, the non impaktor 10mm is the same color stripe as the non impaktor 10mm. Love it “stay calm” haha

It's not like a white stripe on the metric sockets are outside of their color scheme, that's a great idea!

Milwaukee should have shallow sockets on the bottom of the case where your foam is.

Personally i wish they would offer them in the plain plastic case like the chrome sockets come in, Blow mold cases take up too much room, they could even improve on those cases too and make it more square/rectangular with a fold up handle or a soft one. If you are a mobile mechanic you will hate the cases that these sockets come in, especially the 8 piece 3/4" impact sets. I chucked my boxes and end up putting them on a rails instead. In my toolbox drawer i could probably fit about 20 sets on rails where you would only manage to fit 2 of the blow mold cases.

Nice! I don't haul my tools around. Otherwise, I would consider the packout set. I have the regular Shockwave sets in their own cases and I love them.

Sucks that there is no conversion set for those of us who bought the no skip sets into a packout

Will the sockets stay in place with the packout if case is tipped upside down and not fall out when opened again?

I'm not a mechanic. This set has all the sizes needed for industrial work on flanges, valves, instruments, etc... (rarely use the metric sockets)

they wasted so much space in this packout, they should have made the thin packout model just a tiny bit taller, cuza the actual pipes takes almost no space in this box, but all the plastic eats it up.

Wera have a colour coded system for each different size which I find quite helpful, its great if you wear glasses and struggle to see the numbers.
Oh and could you do a review on the Shadow tool company toolbox staging system. That toolbox looks like a whole other beast.!!

I’m confused, are you using a separate box to store all these sockets? Because I don’t think what Milwaukee built was made for this? No criticism, just wondering if you swapped out the box a long with taking tools from. Separate kits? I’m spending my life savings on this storage unit because I know it’s versatile, but I don’t like being told one thing when you’re selling another.

Much easier way to do this is with nail polish, rough up the previous paint first and just lay it in there with the brush.

Wonder how long before you can get the box only for people who already have the set?
