I truly love Katee Sackhoff as Bo Katan. She really does have a connection with her character.

So nice to see actors really caring about the character they play

The first thing I thought when I watched the scene where Bo Katan was welcomes into the covert was that she really wants friends. She spent so much time alone in her castle, abandoned by her compatriots after her failure to get the Darksaber, that she was actually eager to help Din when he needed her aid. Because then she would have the company of a fellow Mandalorian, for a little while at least. Then she willingly guided him to the living waters, despite her cynical view on the traditions of her people. Then she has a nigh-religious revelation by seeing the mythosaur. And _then_ she freely followed Din back to his covert when she didn't have to. I think she doesn't want to be _alone._ It's a very human experience, all things considered: she wants connection. She's got a lot to think about.

I think Bo-Katan is being misread by a lot of people. I think what we are seeing in Chapter 18/19 is the birth of hope in Bo - not for herself, but possibly for her people. And I think she is trying to sort out if Din is actually the one who should lead. I think she put this to a test at some point, but I think Din will pass in her eyes and she will be supportive.

Ngl yeah I can't blame Bo Katan for wanting to find a new path in life instead of heing a leader. She's been doing it for several years and when it didn't pan out so well when she got the Darksaber it's tempting to just take the backseat and find someone else more fitting for the position.

Her acting behind the helmet was insane, you could literally feel what Katee Sackhoff just said passing in her mind.

I’m confused as to why people didn’t see this tbh. Her conversation with Din after saving him spoke volumes, as did her keeping her helmet on after seeing the mythosaur.

More importantly she followed din to save him and then followed him back to his people, and didn’t really fight it when they welcomed her.

Also the bombing of her families palace leaving her truly homeless played a big part too

I had similar thoughts about her not mentioning the mythosaur. I never took it as malicious intent, and instead of her trying to process what she saw. Like imagine you and a buddy go for a hike, and you see a Velociraptor for a few brief moments running through the forest, yet your buddy didn't see anything. I have no doubt that you would be questioning what you saw and debating on whether you should tell someone or not.

Just a run down of everything that’s happened in Bo Katan’s life up to this point:
-joined death watch presumably to preserve the warrior culture of mandalore/distance herself from her sister who was responsible for it’s erasure
-death watch ended up blindly serving maul. Who let’s be real, exploited Mandolorian culture to give him control of the planet and manipulated them into dying for him and his less than honorable cause.
- maul ended up killing her sister
- becomes queen regent after the republic finally arrests maul. Gets deposed immediately as soon as the empire rises
- finally reunites the people of mandalore to fight against the empire. We find out that at the end war mandalore gets completely wiped out.
I’m totally with Katie Sachoff on this, Bo is TIRED and she has been through so many attempts at trying to reshape/reclaim mandalore. And every single time, it just got immensely worse for her. So yeah, I can definitely see her giving the darksaber (and effectively, the throne) to someone else who seems more worthy

I have always liked Bo Katan, but my gosh the Mandalorian's portrayal of her is so good that she is sky rocketing into one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Looking forward to seeing what more they do with a character that could have easily remained in the shadows.

The first two answers were more or less what I was thinking for her, but the third one makes me feel a bit better. I was afraid that she was having the beginnings of thinking about working her way back to being in charge and I didn't like that thought. The idea that she's tired and wants to let someone else take over actually sits better with me. I like her team-up dynamic with Din and was hoping that she wasn't going to become an antagonist over trying to take leadership back. (It does suck that we won't be seeing her face anymore if she remains with the creed though)

I absolutely love that Katee Sackhoff was able to convey so precisely what Bo Katan was feeling even with a helmet covering her face. Credit to the director as well for giving us moments like Bo sitting silently, head down, waiting for Mando to wake up. It seemed obvious to me that Bo was *really* struggling with what to do with her discovery of the mythosaur and having her beliefs challenged like that. In the scene at the Covert, again the director and Katee give a great moment that reinforces Bo's struggle with what to do and believe - her reaction (almost shock, as if being startled) to being congratulated for taking the creed, immediately followed by that shot of the mythosaur skull symbol was *great* and again reinforces that she's been confronted with some pretty life altering information. Just great stuff all around.

Bo-Katan was abandoned by Mandalorians who believed Mandalore is truly lost. She is likely sad and wants to fit in with the Children of the Watch who are one of the only Mandalorian organizations who are ensuring that the Way of the Mandalore and the culture survive and remain intact. This is similar to how past Jedi and Sith react when they have nowhere to go after losing their connections with their former affiliations. An example would be how Lana Beniko (no matter the players' choices) remained in the Eternal Alliance and did not return to the Sith Empire because she finally found a home in the Alliance.

I hope there is more development in her character beyond just wanting to lead. It would be amazing seeing her as an advisor or strong support character because she is a very strong character but historically not cut out to lead

The fact that the play makes us wonder about her motives, thoughts, intentions, generating different opinions speaks for itself. Great writing and show. The title of the episode is also symbolic - she's the one it speaks about.

I think the show did a good job of conveying what the actress "confirmed" as it did feel like that was what was happening.

Its always cool to get the actors/actresses take on how the character is feeling at certain points in the story, kinda gives you a small peak behind the curtain so to speak

She summed it up perfectly. I’ve always had a love and hate relationship with Bo-Katan because of what happened to Satine; however, I am starting to like the character even more in The Mandalorian.

Can we just appreciate that Disney at least carried over one good character’s actor into live action

I know Bo-Katan's forces left her but it would be funny to imagine that they went on vacation day but forgot to tell Bo-Katan about it.

And when they come back, they see a destroyed Clan Kyrze castle.
