Phantom Ganon Deku Tree boss fight: Zelda Tears of The Kingdom

The reason why this game has horror vibes to it is because Eji Anouma was involved as producer of the game and hes known for his horror elements in Zelda Titles especially Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess which he both directed btw and Phantom Ganon in this game is beyond creepy the way her moves and lumbers as he walks and suddenly charges at u with those glowing red eyes and he does not say a single word neither.

This was the first time I stood up to the gloom hands. I sat there for an HOUR before finally beating phantom ganon

My kid loves TOTK. She does the exploring and I fight the bosses… and guess where we are at? Here! And we are not prepared. I managed to get through the gloom hands with one heart left and then phantom ganon pops out of nowhere! She’s currently out in the world finding materials.

i just stocked up on a fuck ton of arrows and then i went to the ledge and placed one of those glider things so the gloom wouldn’t get me and i peppered them with arrows

I straight up *love* this Boss theme. It even has horror themed cords or from exotic movies like Predator. The tribal yet dulled drumming and deep bass in the backdrop add to the very sinister vibe that is _so_ refreshing after stuff like Wind Waker's mini Boss music that was cheerfully upbeat & even a little goofy with the whistling by comparison. In Tears, Phantom Ganon is looming, dangerous (especially early game if you're unprepared) and the grim ambient sound effects are just amazing. 💫

Finally got around to doing this today and it scared the s-- out of me seeing him.

It would have been a good opportunity to have fought Gohma (or a spider like boss) instead of phantom Ganon under the deku tree. Call back to OoT.

I still haven't gone down there I have a huge fear of gloom hands and I just can't bring myself to I just jump on my horse and leg it when I see them and this just strikes me with so much fear

Can be cheesed, I fought him a bit too early and had to, float onto ledge after diving down. Shoot the phantom hands with bomb arrows so all of them take damage simultaneously. Once dead, Ganon appears, probably below the ledge which is where hands tend to die. Fuse sleds or carts together to make a “bridge” that goes slightly off the edge. Attach laser cannon faced downward off the tip of your “bridge”. Use spear/arrows or sword (stay on the ledge, if you walk off it, Ganon sees you/teleports and it’s over) to hit the cannon as needed to blast Ganon slowly to death. Takes maybe 30-40 mins. Ultrahand to move the cannon or bridge as needed above him, he moves a little every so often. Pan camera to check where he is, you can see his shape/outline faintly below.

I realized after I beat him that you could’ve swam up to a vantage point. I’m assuming that’s why he drops bow just in case you went up

Man when i got here, i wouldve loved if it was gohma. Making it a nice throwback to ocarina of time. But it was still a throwback nevertheless.

I killed them easily by ascending 2 level up on the ledge and shooting bomb arrow.. they cant even touch me..(just in case u ask. I used autobuild to place a board on the gloom to stand further from the ledge to shoot em)
