You have a very strong understanding of how light and color play on different surfaces. It's one of the reasons I enjoy your videos.

How convenient, literally primed a bust with a sci-fi girl yesterday …… coincidence, I think not. Pink hair it is.

I will need to rewatch this when I am not painting so I can pay attention. It may not be my color choice, but I can still learn! And just think, if you had given her blue skin, she would be a troll and not an orc ;!

Hi Vince, working on pink mechs for a rainbow themed unit. I think alot of this applies, except for the texturing with lines. Trying to avoid looking too flat which is a challenge with armor panels. Any variation to your synthwave approach for that type of model?

Vince, you've done a lot of really awesome female models: can you do one in the spirit of an 80's action movie poster? I've been working on some DoK and my test model turned out like Fake N Bake Barbie XD XD XD I think I did an okay job with the final go but the hair ended up too over the top for the skin so I had to go back into the skin to up the ante: I'm putting up some finished pics on the Discord in a little bit for my take on it; any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

Being old...I kind of like how the old stuff is new again. I've always kind of chuckled how the music industry coins the term 'synthwave' when it was called 'new wave' in the 80s, or some other term. Bruce Dickenson of Iron Maiden, paraphrased, said something about that with the term Heavy Metal, basically saying when he started, it wasn't called heavy metal, it was just rock. But then, yknow, someone in a magazine coined the term, and it stuck, and forever we have named a genre :)
Excellent work as always, I regularly refer to your hair painting tutorials, both old and new.

I was planning to paint my Vampire Lord with pink hair so this is PERFECT timing

Something to consider, is the hair dyed or natural? if it's natural her shaved hair would also be pink. if its dyed there would be a line of the natural colour at the base of the hair.

Is it just me or does the hair on her right shoulder have a higher value of light than the right side of the top of her head in front? I would have expected the opposite

What colors were used for the green (skin) highlights and shadows? yellow and purple? It is very dynamic, I love it.
