There is a reason this feels nostalgic! These two songs, Cheryl Lynn's Got to Be Real and C&C Music Factory's Do You Wanna Get Funky have been officially remixed and released before! The remix is called "The Nice & Smooth Hiphop Remix" (released 1994) and features a multiple rap verses that aren't heard in this version. This is not meant to be a claim that Tim Legend copied the Nice & Smooth remix, his version has more modern production and a cleaner sound, and is very distinct from the 1994 remix.
