25 or 6 to 4 (Chicago); drum cover by Sina

This is my Tribute to Danny Seraphine, original drummer and founding member of Chicago. For my cover of 25 or 6 to 4, I tried to capture the essence of the groove but I kind of interpreted the fills. For the original recording, the drums were double tracked, that means, they were recorded twice, panned hard left and hard right in the stereo panorama. I only recorded one drum track, I hope you enjoy anyway!

I've heard this song a million times, but never realized how complex it was! That's a tribute to the original band! And this cover was fantastic!

Blows my mind how people can give this a thumbs down and the actual drummer from Chicago, Danny Seraphine, said it was an amazing performance. Just shows how some people are all about negativity. Great job Sina. Enjoying ur covers during this Covid time. Thank You.

25 or 6 to 4 is my favorite Chicago song, because it's a driving, powerful conversation between five close friends: Drums, Bass, Horns, Guitar & vocals. It's brilliantly arranged and every instrument is given plenty of breathing room. To me this is a drummer's song--setting the pace and being the foundation while the horns, guitar and vocals rotate in and out. I can see why Sina picks songs like this. They let her capabilities and soul shine. Apparently Danny Seraphine agrees 👍🏻

There is a positive to COVID19, while 'safe at home', I discovered Sina! Watch her everyday, everyday my jaw just drops. I don't know jack, but she killed this one.

When the original artist gives you praise, you have to believe there is something special to behold... Very good and you've only just begun... I believe that "Sina" will become a name and an artist to be reckoned with.
I truly enjoyed your original..."No I won't play in my underwear" and look forward to hearing more.
Also, enjoyed your collabs with the other kids from around the world...
There's truly nothing like the music from the 60's, 70's and 80's....

It just happened that this track immediately followed Chicago playing this live. Everyone should hear it like that so they can recognize how really, REALLY good it is. Sina, take a bow, you deserve it.

Wow, a shout-out from Danny himself. It doesn't get ANY BETTER than that. When my drummer friends and I were playing back in the 70's it was great to have a drum hero like Danny. The cool thing is that hard working drummers still have him leading the way.

Chicago was one of the groups I grew up with. They had such a distinct sound and everybody loved their music! (Still do 40+ years later)
Sina you did an excellent job on those drums! As usual!

Spectacular- I started listening to Chicago back in the 70s- I was a sophomore in high school- The older “Cool” kids had the album playing at a party- I bought the album soon after- My best friend was the lead guitarist for a cover band- He was also a guitarist for the high school band- One concert the HS band played 25 or 6 to 4- My friend covered the guitar [Terry Kath’s guitar]- I have seen Chicago 20 times over the years- Seattle, Cleveland, and Maryland- I know the song well- Spectacular performance- Danny commented- How cool is that- You can’t make this stuff up-

You have done it now. This got me to tear up. What gets a 57 year old to cry? This song has inaugurated every sound system I've ever owned. The original drummer agrees you have nailed the performance. In a crazy world that sometimes makes me feel lost music is my special home. Sina you are part of something that keeps hope alive. Enough that right now I need some tissues. Thanks kid.

My favorite band when I was in high school in the early 70's. I remember going to one of their live concerts in Houston. Their style of playing was unique with the saxophone, trumpet and trombone being important parts of the group. Listening to you playing the drums for 25 or 6 to 4 brought back great memories for me of the song and the group Chicago. Thanks Sina for all that you do to keep the days of rock and roll relevant for us. Your drumming talent is fantastic!!!

Never really noticed the complexity of the drumming of 25 or 6 to 4 until now. Beautifully done, long live the Queen of Sticks!

I just discovered Sina Drums. Her performances give me an appreciation of the original drum parts. She reveals great drum riffs, fills, etc. that I didn’t notice when I first heard the original version. On this video, I’m especially impressed with how Sina stayed on tempo as the song slowed down at the end.
