Wasted an hour googling for an answer came here and had my iPad fixed in one minute. I put one thin strip of electrical tape on the outside of my USB C cable and plugged it in. It made that minuscule thickness adjustment and connected!! Thanks

Guys all u have to do is switch the charging port side. I tried this and my iPad was charging so fast and it never said “Not Charging” I started at 5% 3 minutes ago and I’m already at 9%

So, I didn't have masking tape. I further McGyvored the solution by cutting a measured sliver of plane paper from my utility bill! In less than 10 minutes, my charge has gone from 1% to 10% !
