Hello! I just wanted to say that your videos are magnificent, as a newcomer, I have learned so much. I recognise the effort you put into your videos; the various camera angles, close-ups, the editing, the travel and the narration. The narration is beautiful - your voice carries power - an excellent orator. I also have enjoyed watching your interactions with the various breeders you have met. From someone like myself who can't really socialise; watching you do it is like watching a master perform his art. By far, you are my favourite amongst the bird content creators of YouTube and I look forward to enjoying as much of your videos as I can. Thank you:)

Hello, I have an outdoor Aviery which I have 10 canary’s they have been together with no problems for eight months. When I pair them up in the breeding cages will still have put the solid devider in?

My first pair of canary had already had a failed clutch of 3 and now is hatching a clutch of 2😂😂😂 very little eggs but all fertile and I am excited 😊

It is not clear how the checks will be fed when the hen goes for the second around at the singles. For pairs this is so easy as the cocks will continue feeding the checks but for singles, it is so difficult and I end up losing the checks as the hen will never feed them once she starts laying her eggs. Very tough issue that I could not sort out. 😢.

Hi Matt, thank you for the great info. I have a few questions and I know this is an older video. I purchased my north dutch frill canaries as pairs. Started with one pair last year at breeding season. Thought I was going to breed 4 pairs of frills this year, so with breeding season starting out now in South Africa. I was putting the pairs together tonight and when vent checking, saw that the one pair I have turned out to be 2 females. Already having made arrangements of borrowing a friend's male as he has a spare, thinking its all I will need, now I have 3 females who need males and only one extra male coming this weekend. The crux of my situation is that I do not know how the single male with multiple females set up works. How long should the male be with one female before being moved to the next? Would the first time moms need a male to assist them with rearing the young? I am not an experienced breeder, this is my second season. What do you suggest I do? Any advice will be very welcome and seriously appreciated! Regards, Ruzaan

Superb mini series.
So much info in these 3 episodes.

Our birds in the front room recognise the opening theme tune and start singing as soon as they hear it.

i enjoy all your episodes
about removing the eggs
for people who go to work in the morning
is it ok to remove it that same day in the evening or the female might start incubation?

Do you sell birds as those wbo want to buy them to keep as pets?
Also, what to do if there is a pair of canaries but the chicks are unwanted because they are pets and the owner is not looking to breed them? Is there a way to prevent them laying eggs ? Or is that bad for them
