The ice that is just below the layer of snow is the purest form of water. After it melts, it is much safer & cleaner than the fresh snow that was on top.

Eating frozen fish reminded me of something... I used to have roborovski hamster who come from Mongolia, Tuva, etc. They don't hibernate in winter. These hamsters loved their vegetables. I used to carefully defrost frozen peas for them. One day when it was really hot I gave them frozen veg straight from the freezer and to my surprise they seemed to like that even more. Nibbling straight into it🐹🐹❣️

Now that is a perfect picture of a human family. Even the little kids were helping their parents get drinkable water. I admire their culture.
