I have been overweight my entire adult life. I lost 50 pounds in the last year on low carb high protein high fat diet with vitamins, supplements and exercise. Now at age 72 I feel better than when I was 50. Vegetarian high carb diet does not work for me

Thank you for clearing that up! I have seen this mis-“information” of amino acids only found in meat. I knew protein was only produced in plants, but I thought the animal somehow added extra amino acids to the protein.

Never heard this before. The statement did seem a bit out of context. Its been said only animal "source" proteins contain a complete amino acid profile, which includes eggs and dairy products. Nobody ever said you must eat flesh. Of course quinoa and hemp seeds are said to have that full profile as well.

In the fitness industry is where i learned this which according to you is disinformation. So therefore an athlete could potentially eat just Potatoes as a food source and do just fine, if im understanding you correctly?
