What an amazing decade in cinema history! In fact, so much happened we couldn’t include everything in one video. We’d love to hear from you; what’s your favourite film from this decade?

Well done! This was a lovely informative video that dipped into the 40’s. I understood this video wasn’t supposed to be the end all recognize EVERY actor who made a film in the 40’s, but instead a wash over the decade. I appreciated this video very much.

I'm arriving late but finally here, one of my favourite decades in movie history. I understand why you only focused on a select few standouts as to name them all - actors, actresses, directors - would make this video hours long. So many amongst the unmentioned, though!
Perhaps a future video might focus on the unsung actors of the time. The always recognised but not always able to name, the character actors who made up the majority of the casts. Edward Everett Horton, Ward Bond, Eugene Pallette, Alan Hale, Elisha Cook Jr, and so many more. One of the things that made the movies of the 1940s so great was the depth in the acting department, from star to bit player.

You forgot to mention John Huston, Billy Wilder, Fritz Lang, Orson Wells and Ernst Lubitsch they were more important than Capra was in the 40s most of his best work was in the 30s
