What's up, people! I'm back with another Erasure reaction, and this time we listen to "All through the Years" on their I Say I Say I Say album (1994), and I was fascinated the way this title followed the track "Always." Regardless, this was another fun tune that put me in a good mood, so join me as we listen to more awesome Erasure. Cheers!

This song….my god. Visual music making. I can feel myself on a spaceship headed for the stars. Beautiful track.

So glad you're enjoying this album as much as I do. And I'm listening again with fresh ears as I think sometimes when you hear a song quite often you go on automatic pilot and don't hear everything. I don't know if I'm explaining myself very well. Anyway great reaction. Thanks again

Love this song. The start always reminds me of water droplets. Almost as though the music is a living thing

This song literally has like 40 layers of synths and not one of them distracts you from the main focus of the song.

"Longing to sail on through the night to the stars
On until sunrise where the moon hides her tears"

This album never touches ground, and it's very obvious here.

One of my faves on the album. I think it's someone remembering some episode in their past and possibly facing the end of their life. It's heavily influenced by Abba's track Move On - those lalalala's in the background - but also thematically I think there's a bit of Fernando on there - sitting by the fire, remembering the past. We know Andy is a huge Abba fan, as am I. It's gorgeous anyway.

I can tell that you are enjoying this era of Erasure and their acid sounds and are revaluating DM from the same era.

revisited your listen to this track. And might have missed it the first time around . . you mentioned that little out-tro flourish (my favorite part of the track too). Vince pulls that little trick out w/ some frequency over the decades, and is always remarkable. Even on tracks that I"m not that fond of overall (i.e. Light at the End of the World. oy ! )
