Deadpool & Wolverine introduces us to a version of Logan who has lost all of his fellow X-Men in some mysterious event. Could Wolverine have stopped the carnage if he was there? Or is the X-Men’s destruction an absolute point in every universe? Jessica Clemons breaks down the possible candidates for the X-Men’s demise, and explores the idea that they will always be fated to perish in any universe.

What i want to know is, what did Nicepool do to get sent to the Void?

My theory is that the events of X2 began in the "WW's" (Worst Wolverine) branch.

However, he never found the beer he had Iceman chill for him. He gave up and went out to get a drink. Then Stryker's team showed up, but they weren't looking to capture, just kill. And so they did.

I love how yall focus on the details. Everyone else is still stuck on RDJ doom announcements but yall are getting the answers we all want.

I have an inkling that maybe in that Wolverine’s universe, what if the Avengers were involved with the demise of the X-men too?

Friends of Humanity is what immediately sprang to mind when Wolverine said that line about mutant hunting. But I love the idea that Bastion is involved, like if X-men '97 had gone differently.

OK, so the anchor being has a Nexus event which is an absolute point that triggers a canon event?

would've made it easier if Logan recognized Cassandra Nova. then they can simply explain away that Cassandra Nova in his reality helped kill the X-men.

IT could be as simple as The scene in X-2 when Striker attacks the school, wolvie went out to drink instead of being there, and they took down enough of them to scatter the survivors into hiding and round them up later. Idk if its as deep as your going but still, always enjoy yalls theories

My theory is that when Logan returned to find all the X-men dead in his universe, he also found remains of some humans who attacked and made the assumption or excuse that a group of humans came to kill them. The more likely scenario is someone like Wanda or Apocalypse being the power behind their deaths or possibly Logan himself being tricked into killing them like Mysterio did in the comics. If it’s the latter, it would also better explain why he feels so much guilt for just not being there because I personally don’t think his guilt matches his role in it.

As an insane theory, what if someone (Doom, TVA, Kang, Loki, whoever) are going into timelines and essentially breeding the most powerful versions of characters. Killing Tom Holland’s Uncle Ben, killing the X-Men from Wolverine’s original universe, etc. So they swoop into a timeline, do something to influence events to make a hero the best they can be for Secret Wars. Whoever it is could have even sent Galactus to Earth in First Steps to make that version of the Fantastic Four rise up and be better than they are now.

That would be a cool twist and it would leave the Avengers not trusting of either the TVA or Doom and creates a larger conflict.

The way I imagined it was, a mix between X2 and X-men 97, but Wolverine wasnt there to help as he said, so everyone was Killed because they wouldnt kill their enemies

In the meantime Wolverine would be hunting the Hunters, probably the Avengers try to stop him and he kills some of them, as he said, he didnt kill just the bad guys...

My biggest gripe with the movie was the whole “this Wolverine let his entire team die”. I’m supposed to believe that Logan went to get shit faced at a bar, then the humans pulled up to the x-men and killed them all? How exactly is that his fault? Great movie other than that lol

Wolverine says “F the Avengers”. What if the Avengers made a deal with the FOH or another group to help take out the X-Men in his universe?

The X-Men can protect the earth from beings like apocalypse, but are mowed down in cold blood by a group of humans who decide they want to go “mutant hunting” haha

Obviously it was Deadpool dancing to Bye Bye Bye. All the Xmen couldnt handle his choreography and moves.

I don't know who killed the X-Men, but I can tell you whoever killed the X-Men if they didn't kill magneto first. He was probably really pissed off and did a lot of damage
