Mindy Kaling angers black people

This joke is tame for something like Family Guy, but I think the issue is how Kaling tried making Velma have some progressive roots.

It’s kind of like she can’t pick what the show actually is, where it goes from horribly offensive to PC every other minute.

Feels like it’s trying to be everything and became nothing.

This show oozes "I hated my highschool life", she complains about rich white people when she herself came from a rich affluent Indian family who sent her to the best schools (ivy league), who also is a successful actress and writer. She is very much the thing she's complaining about

What gets on my nerves about Mindy is her always making it a point to say racist stuff about black ppl as her way to reassure her distinction from black ppl. She’s very calculated and deeply insecure about her dark skin color. She needs to leave black ppl out of her identity issues. She’s pathetic and I’m glad ppl are finally addressing the many ways she shows it.
