The Dodecahedron looks like a piece that would be used to make cloth with weaving. The main threads through the largest hole in the middle and the different colors of threads throughout the rest of the holes. Seems it was at the base of the loom and used to keep all the threads in control without tangling. Depending on the dodecahedron size, I’m theorizing that it depended on the weight of the materials being made. Having the small ball like features would be a great way to keep even tension for all the threads. That’s my theory and it makes more sense then a weapon or just something to display. It’s like our owning needles and thread in todays world to sew things together. It seems to me that it had to have been so common that it really isn’t mentioned. My theory on why there haven’t been more found, people throughout even our recent history actually melt metals back down and use them again. Much easier then mining more metals and going through the refining process.
