FOX 4 Reporter Richard Ray investigates the unusual Texas phenomenon that has baffled researchers for over a century: The Mysyterious Marfa Lights.

This video is mostly showing the car lights on hwy 67 from presidio to Marfa. Those fool people every night. The real Marta lights appear mostly to the left of the red tower. Creepy as heck. I’ve seen them about four times out of twenty or so visits.

I went there and saw it. As mom and I were watching the sun go down I established a baseline. Farmhouse lights began to turn on and the car lights on the mountain highway to the west were obvious. And then the glowing orbs started popping up and moving towards our location. I had been fascinated by this since my former brother-in-law recounted his experience witnessing it. This was 1993. I took my wife there in 2008 and it was overcast and misty and we didn't see them.

I went to Sul Ross University back in the early 70's. We drove to Marfa one night to watch the new movie, Shaft (yes, I am old!) Course we stopped to watch the lights on the way back to Alpine and my recollection is the lights I saw stayed close to the ground.

Nearly 30 years ago as we left Alpine heading on hwy into Marfa a light appeared in our back car window. There was no noise at all. It was a very bright orb that hovered above the ground keeping pace with our vehicle. It then came around to the side and then road in front of us. When it got in front I felt alarmed because i took it as an aggressive move. Once my voice became scared as I was talking to my husband about what to do, it lit out leaving like a light trace. It joined the other marfa lights. That's how I knew it was a marfa light.
About 15 years later other family members went to check em out cuz I would never go back to Marfa. They got followed too. Must be something about my family that interest them? I finally did actually go back about 5 years ago but didn't get followed. Could be different human dynamics? Anyway, I figure they transmit information.

So what happens if you go there and try to touch them ?
Why is there no close up ?
Is it like a mirage in the desert ?

Why not put cameras in the direct area and leave them for the night so there is close up footage
