First of all: thank you for all of your hard work on your videos. I just got my first BP yesterday and I love your content. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen anyone else on YouTube who seems to love the hobby as much as you. Your passion is very obvious!

I’m going to have to follow Kent’s lead and stay out of the way on cleaning day. Love the concept of snake play during cleaning time.

Thank you so much, the only thing I was worried about before getting a snake was how to really make sure it’s clean for it but this covers it really well

My pothos plants have been growing much better since adding Fluval (plant spectrum) lights to my cages. They are pricy but you can get by with the Nano size since it’s not the only light source. I also love the gradual day/night light cycle feature. Makes the cages look amazing at dawn and dusk!

Thank you so much for showing what you do in the bioactive. That's what I have and was wondering how "deep" to deep clean. The isopods and springtails seem to be doing a great job. Thanks so much for all you do.

Thanks to the pandemic and having little kids I got a UV box to sterilize things for them and realized I could use it for my snake too! haha. So, after washing her water bowl I will put it in the box for a cycle, and things like cork bark and ropes etc. I also put in there for 3 cycles. Its working well for things that I can't easily wipe off or worry about if the spray is penetrating enough. I use hydrogen peroxide veterinary wipes for hard surfaces and glass and dawn where I can. Also, cell phone and keys, lol. Anyway, great episode so glad you have your brother to help you out with all the chores.

After watching one of Lori Torrini’s videos, I stopped cleaning *everything* in Marie and Darwin’s enclosures and I leave their scent on a couple of things, when doing a full clean. Like you said, you can go back in a week or so and clean those items. I have to tell you that Marie is so funny. She’s super nosey and sleeps with her head facing out, when in her hides. The minute I walk in their room, POP!, out comes her head. If I’m in there for longer than 5-10 seconds she’s got 4-6 inches of herself coming out of the hide!! She’s ALWAYS hungry now. Even 2 days after she ate. I’m sure that’s why she’s coming out, I have just decided to think it’s all about me. Lmao! 🐍❤️🐍
Kent……You could always do a video on cleaning your corner! That would be a riveting, exciting video!!

Loved it as usual! Could you make a detailed cleaning video specifically for bioactive enclosures?

Two things. Kent, 1988 seriously? I graduated from highschool in 1988 and we had that same VHS camera but then the future got here and did you know you can take video with your phone? Bob, nice job remembering to mention for shy or fearful snakes to doing cleaning in stages! Always having some of their own familiar scent present is super important to help them feel safe.

Thanks for the vid - entertaining and informative as always. We are quite enjoying the "like" and "subscribe" symbols popping up in odd spots - we have taken to trying to predict where they are going to appear in each video. And thanks for the tip about cleaning shy snakes' enclosures in stages - we'll give that a try with Sarge and Dr. J.O.A.N. We did a full cleanout when we installed the RUB doors, and while Raymond and Ambassador Noodle weren't at all bothered, Sarge and Dr. Joan of Ark No! have been spending more time in their hides since the cleanout.
