- The White House says US president Joe Biden made clear in a phone call that Israel needs to implement specific and measurable steps to address civilian harm.

- The US and Europe still need each other, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg told DW as the alliance marks its 75-year anniversary. Meanwhile, Ukraine appealed to members of the alliance for more air defense systems.

- Ukrainian authorities say about 30 percent of the country is contaminated by Russian landmines, unexploded ordnance and other explosives, posing a threat to civilian life – and making it off-limits for farming and other uses.

He then mentioned similar situation with China.
And then proceed on mentioning the potential oil crises.
Afterwards he said "so it is not in the US's wider geopolitical interest to engage in a conflict with Iran now, but logic has not dominated US foreign policy." US is in a much worse position now.
