Should children never wear Halloween costumes that depict another culture, ethnicity or race? When does admiration turn into appropriation, and is the argument against appropriation just? I’m white and when I was 10 my family went to Mexico. A random lady came up to me on the beach and started making tiny braids in my hair. There were so cute and I didn’t have to wash my hair for 2 weeks because of that. I also have the worlds curliest hair so she did an amazing job. She asked for money after and my mother gladly paid her.
