I love that you keep reiterating it’s not the coaching - service itself that is the problem, it’s the claims that I made ‘$x’ selling coaching when really that’s not the case. That last example you gave where you showed that such a low percentage of her income came from selling products and the majority came from selling others on selling products. It makes me think of MLM where the people at the top make the money and everyone else is just basically paying them.

I've gotten wayyyy better at not buying "shiny objects" from random marketers online. Back in the day when I first started online I was absolutely horrible with that. Now I'm just focusing on music and Pinterest. It's all about focus when it comes to the internet, which can be really hard because it feels like there are new shiny AI objects coming out every other week to distract us. But not me! I am laser focused.

Yeah, I think it’s a painful shame, as it often exponentially predates people, who are already losing.

I think, however, other than just plain greed that, at least i the US, part of the cause is that manufacturing has been moved out of the country. I see it, just working for a global corporation. Processes being inflated or made so convoluted, that management doesn’t even know if they don’t need some employees. I was even provided a project that I had to ask, if it was fake and my manager said, “Nailed it!” Because he also thought it was some stupid, ridiculous project, that didn’t even make any sense. And it bet there are managers afraid to lose too many people because, who are they going to manage, at least in their short term?

So, for a lot of fauxpreneurs, between these Jerry Springer style salespeople, who’ve been around for years and workplaces that operate like a carnival, they figure they’ll just make a living off of air, too.

I would never pay for an online coach, I don't even have the resources to do so. I only know that I never actually believed the 6 figures, No beginner will start like that and 6 months later become a millionare. I would already be crazy happy if I made £5000 a month.
