Many of you have seen my short video on the infinite veranda and have asked is it a balcony or not? Well in today's show I demonstrate how it works. I think it's super cool. What do you think?

Looks Modern. At this point since I miss Cruising so much I would settle for a Container Ship Balcony

Feels like a tunnel with a destination view. Traditional balcony feels open with a more expansive view.

Pro tip: It is much easier to open and close the window using the controls on the thermostat. You just push it once and you don’t have to stand there and hold it.

By the way, when the window is open, the A/C shuts off. With a traditional balcony, you can go outside, close the balcony door, and the A/C stays on.

I would kind of consider these as “ocean view plus” haha I would definitely prefer the traditional balcony but neat concept

The ship engineers must love the new gadgets they will be called on to fix.

We were on the Edge last year and had this balcony. To be honest I prefer the traditional type for a few reasons. I'm an early riser much before my husband and I found it was hard to keep it quiet while trying to shut those bifold doors and open the window. Much easier and quieter to open one door and step out. Just my preference but you should keep that in mind!

I still love the Balconies on the Solstice Class, Bigger, deeper and traditional with sliding glass door. The Infinite Balconies look smaller and with all the gadgets and buttons I see problems.

Great video! Thanks for showing us this room. As for me I think I'd rather stick with the more traditional balcony.

I’m waiting for the cruise-demic to be over, so I can get my Dramamine ready and boogey down to Rohatan. I’m sick of Michigan winters. Talk to me about Windjammer buffets and bingo parties. Trivia on the Caribbean is my cup of Alex Trebek. Stir crazy in Michigan

I loved it when I was on the Edge, just like a normal balcony when the window is down. When it's up it makes the room bigger! That was useful especially when getting out of the bed on that side because it was so much easier to get around the bed rather than being squished against the wall.

NOTHING like a balcony on a cruise ship! 🤙🏻

I love that balcony. It's being somebody who has been stuck next to a cabin full of smokers and not really being able to go out on the balcony the whole trip this is definitely best of both worlds.

I love this new balcony concept, and it was a fraction of the cost of a balcony. I know that I will love it! I can't wait!

The one thing I did not like about the infinite balcony, was if it rained, the cruise line locks the window so you cannot open it. If you have a lot of rainy days, you basically have a ocean view cabin.

Like everything in life it has it pluses and minuses. I love that we ghad a constant view of the ocean. We never closed the blinds or doors. We decided we would prefer regular balconies in warmer climes like the Caribbean and the Mediterranean but the Infinity in cooler climes like the Baltic and the North Sea. In past cruises We paid for but never used the balcony.
