what if i dont just have a straight forward iconchache folder and i have loads and loads of different icon thingys? do i just delete them all?

Mine had 2 windows explorers and i restarted both, the games(icons) that went white are on a external hard drive. I restarted both after deleting the cache.db, mine said db on it with the date it went white which was about 2 weeks ago. Did that and they are still white, it shows my external hard drive in MY PC and the space is still taken up, says 449gb free of 1.81tb please help, it will take a very long time for me to delete and redownload everything
