Register them as sex offenders must, the damage is equivalent. At least we'd have a register to back up their sociopathic narc behaviour. the damage is just as great. Especially when you're unknowingly being held against your own will due to the psych manipulation.
Breaking a long term trauma bond is the equivalent of breaking a hard opiate addiction. In taking my share of pain medication, weaning from the meds are child's play compared to losing the need for that partner when they are the greatest comfort when they want to be, until they flip a switch and their mind.
