How to fix ESRV.EXE Application Error 0xc0000142

When you start your pc this error pop ESRV.EXE - Application Error Windows 10 and says The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application, I will show How to fix this error.

TO ALL: in my case the proble was with the program INTEL COMPUTING IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. I've uninstalled this program, and end of the problem.

thank you, work 100%. i had the intel utility 2.6 version, now i installed 2.7 and found a new wireless driver. this really fix the esrv.exe error after 1703 win 10 update.

Re-installing 2.7.2 update from Intel does not solve the problem.

I uninstalled mine with the control panel and didnt fix I unistalled with the IObit unistaller aswell :(

Worked for me, after the fresh installation, I did receive the error, however, after another reboot, the error did not come back.

Hi,
Unfortunately, your solution didn't work @ Windows 7. Digging a bit more around the internet, I have discovered that if you uninstall the "Intel Computing Improvement Program" (preferably with Revo Uninstaller, which is free and also runs a deep scan for leftovers afterwards), the problem is solved! That's what I did, and... Victory! 😉 👌
