If you're a flower farmer in a cold climate with a short growing season, you've got to grow my ten best cut flowers. I'm a farmer florist near Saskatoon, SK, Canada and I grow in zone 3--so if it works for my tough growing conditions, it will probably work for you too.

Great video! I'm zone 4, love hearing what works for colder zones!

For me the statice is the most versatile of all, love it!

Such a good baby, Kristen. Flower choices are right on point. Love amaranth too. Looking forward to this season. 😊💖🦋🕊

I have the most love/hate nostalgia with statice. I worked in a greenhouse at age 14 for my first ever job and because I couldn't do a lot at that age (labor laws) I ended up pairing down ALL THE DRIED STATICE for winter wreaths, etc. It's such a beautiful dainty flower. --- I don't do any cut flowers really, but some of my favorite surprises in bouquets I've gotten are Ranunculous, Rudbeckia, and Purple Basil. The basil smells SO GOOD and is such a gorgeous visual and scented partner to all the florals.

This comment is not flower related at I just love seeing your sweet baby as you make these videos. Reminds of my little ones when they were so tiny and snuggly. :)

Off topic, but just seeing the clip of putting flowers into a bucket of water. Got to my heart. Loved potting up some seedlings today, but also overwhelming when I realized the time. The clip just focused me on when these flowers will be in bloom.

Love your bouquets. Large. Tons of flowers. Just beautiful.

Yes! Love Queen Lime Zinnias! Oohh! That Valkyrie Aster. I may have to try them next growing season!

Hmm. Other flowers... The top 5 I sell are sunflowers, gladiolas, zinnias, and cosmos. The top 5 I would grow just for me- roses, peonies, iris, gladiolas, and dahlias. I played flute in high school. The one way to hold it is resting on one's arm, so flowers that I can hold the same way make me happy- like iris and glads.

I love your list ! My red amaranth failed in Regina last year too😅
I have all you have. I think the Sahara rudbeckia are going to be a new favorite for me this year. I want that apricotta cosmos but didn't end up finding any . I need your e book. Your arrangements are insanely beautiful

Glads and lilies are my best cut flowers.

I’ve grown/am growing most of the things on your list and I agree! (Including lisianthus…even though they’re a pain. They’re so pretty and surprising producers!). This is my first year trying zinnias and strawflowers. I’m really excited for them!! One for my personal list is gomphrena, even though they’re not that exciting on their own…I just love them with sunflowers.

Very inspiring! How much time weekly do you soemd in the flower garden to make a profit off?

I love the queen lime series too, my most productive of all the zinnias. I had such great success with Amaranth and plan to try even more kinds this year, but I have to pinch it hard to get those smaller stems. I was thinking of getting your recipe bouquet but I noticed it only comes in E reader, is there any other way to view it? Your baby is so cute!

I bit off way more than I can chew. I got dahlia seeds. Then, why stop there? Diva Dahlia 'Spartacus' and "Cantorino' arrived today. I am so in for it - Zone 6b. Go Huskies!

I’m in Scotland so probably similar climate, I can’t grow sunflowers because they get chewed up with squirrels!! I’m giving it one last go!! I’m trying Gomphrena for the first time but not a lover of the droopy kind, sorry! Lillies do well for me, snapdragons now last year was my first year so I’ve went and got loads of varieties and one tiny seedlings from 3 cells !!! What can I do ? When do you feed your seedlings? And also how diluted ? I’m using seaweed liquid although when they are in the garden I go for a very stinky natural grower feed and it works wonderfully but I’m not using the stinky stuff indoors! All organic I might add 😊🌺🌸🌺

Agree on your list but I also used Dara like it was going out of style ❤

Hmmm, I found sunflowers iffy - the window for using them was about 2 days - I think big rudbeckia blooms can almost do the job... I'd be really interested in your bouquet e-book Kristen. Will it be available soon ? 🎉 Edit - I found it !

Completely different (other than dahlias and sunflowers) than the top 10 list I made. But then, we are in different zones, meaning I can rank dahlias as my number one fav. cut flower.

Amaranth brings all of the bugs. Not the good ones.
