In the 60s we did use guitar amps 2nd channel for microphones. Not the best tone for vocals, too muddy. Acoustic guitar pickups were rare and proper sound was difficult. Bar bands had few PA options available. The good side is, less gear to carry.

Hi Deb. Great video, again!
I have a Fender Acoustasonic 90w amp, which I sometimes use for solo work. Are you familiar with the Acoustasonic amps? It has one channel for guitar and another channel for my mic. I like the simplicity of it. I’m not sure I can actually turn FX off on the amp, just select different settings and turn the FX right down if needed. I dug my VE8 out of moth balls today (been playing in a rock band with PA) to see what I can do with it. I ran the guitar from the left channel of the VE8 with 1/4 inch and the mic from the right channel with XLR and set the option to use the reverb of the “pa” (Acoustasonic), not the VE8. Is this the right way to do it?
I also have a FS6 footswitch to use with the loop function but I’m not sure I’ve got it right yet. I’d like to loop the guitar so I can play a solo on something simple like Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door or All Along The Watchtower. Appreciate any pointers.

Hey Deb, thanks for how well you explain and demo this fun machine. I was wondering if you may be able to help me find a way to control the volume levels of my individually saved patches. When I switch from a radio effect patch to a harmony patch od distortion they are considerably louder. So it’ becomes difficult to use several patches in one song.

I hope you're very well, best wishes, I was wondering if I can connect a Piano synth to my Ve-8 Boss, I was already able to connect my electric guitar without problems, but now, I'm afraid of connecting a Piano, because I need to make a performance playing piano and singing but I'm not sure if it is possible to use my Ve-8 with a Piano, thank you very much for the info you can provide me and for your time and attention.

Have you ever had any feedback problem while using Acoustic Resonator/ Enhance when you're plugged to a Powered Speaker ? A friend of mine just told me not to use this 2 features while playing close to the PA (in a Pub, for example).

If I go from the VE 8 LINE OUT to the LINE IN INSTR on my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 Audio Interface and the XLR OUT to the XLR IN mic will the guitar and video come into my DAW on the computer as 2 separate tracks? I watched a previous video of yours that showed plugging the VE 8 directly into the computer using the USB and everything went in as one track. Just thought since I already own the 2i2 maybe this would allow me to record guitar and vocals on separate tracks. Thanks.

Good morning! I have a question.. what if I want plug another poweramp to use as a return ? Should I just plug the cables in the “R” of each one of them (guitar n’ mic) ?
