USING YOUR Boss VE-8 with an amplifier. Well your imagination is the limit and here I show you how you would do just that along with what cables and adapter you might want to use and a demo of what it sounds like. This was filmed using the GoPro Hero 8 with Media Mod and on board mics. I'm liking this little camera a lot.

Thank you Deb. I use the VE8 with a Marshall AS50D combo amp (one side for guitar, the other for vocals). It’s a small amp with a DI built in, so if there’s a PA system to plug into, you’re set to go - and you can use the Marshall as a monitor. All this stuff is great and I’m sure glad you were so generous in your instruction videos. They were a big help.

Deb just got the VE8 so your videos really help. Don't have a PA just an amp so still trying to figure out how to get everything hooked up on my setup.

Can you run this through with the rest of your pedal board? and what order should this be in the chain?

Deb, that's an interesting demo of the Boss VE-8 with your Rumble 30. My understanding is that the more recent Rumble amps have only 1 input channel. In that case, I believe you would select output parameter 7 on the VE-8, guitar + vocal mono. This would also work on the Fender Champion amps on the clean channel. It would be interesting to hear an acoustic guitar plugged into the VE-8 with an electric guitar amp on the clean channel. This could reveal how the VE-8 can shape the tone of an acoustic guitar.

Hello, can the “acoustic enhance” features on the VE-8 be deactivated? I’ve been using TC Helicon products for a couple of years (Voicelive 3, Play Acoustic, VG Perform, etc) and one thing I like is that the “bodyrez” can be turned off just in case I’m using an electric guitar. Sometimes I do acoustic gigs and sometimes I do band gigs where I take my electric. I’m looking for one pedal that can do both. I’m afraid of getting the VE-8 and ending up killing my electric guitar tone with it. Can’t seem to find any info on this over the net. Thanks!

Dear Deb, thank you very much for your videos about the Boss VE-8. May I ask you if you also have some buzzing issues with the VE-8? It seems that my guitar-in has a problem. If I touch the casing with my food the buzz is gone... Maybe a problem with the grounding?

Hi Deb, Wondering if you can help me? I had a strange thing happen at band rehearsal tonight… I play my electric guitar into my VE-8 via my pedal board, then out via the 1/4 inch left output into my Boss Katana 100w amp. I run my mic via XLR in, then out through the right XLR output into the PA. Tonight at rehearsal, we hadn’t set the PA up yet and so I just the mic out cable hanging. Then I noticed while tuning up and talking, my voice was coming through the guitar amp. I’ve never noticed anything like this happening before! I ended up doing the rehearsal without using the VE-8 and went straight into the PA. Any ideas what May gave happened?
