Let us take two 2-digit numbers for our Indian technique.
The 2 numbers are 10x+y and 10a+b
(10x+y)(10a+b)
= 100ax+10xb+10ay+by

When we multiply tens digit of each number,
10x*10a=100ax ---(i)

When we multiply unit digit of each number,
y*b=by

Cross multiply each digit's place. That is, unit place of first number with tens place of second number and vice versa.

10x*b+10a*y
=10xb+10ay --- (iii)


From 1, 2 and 3 equations
On combining we get
100ax+10xb+10ay+by

The above equation is same as the original equation obtained by normal multiplication method. Hence proved.

sir but in the japanese technique it can fail if there is a zero between the digit for example = 109 x 203
