Fact checking Trump's connections to Project 2025

Donald Trump's campaign is actively distancing itself from Project 2025, but CBS News' data journalism team found more than a third of Project 2025's 735 proposals were aligned with Trump's past policies and current promises. God forbid! 1/3rd overlap?! Which 3rd? In a 900 page document that's still 2/3rds that don't align. If that's the basis to say he's going to carry on and do the rest of whatever project 2025 lays out in the other 600 pages, it is a wild jump in logic and blatantly disingenuous with the goal of turning Americans against one another. The scariest part of the Project 2025 plan is the ongoing effort to recruit and train 10’s of thousands of like minded people in an effort to largely re-staff the federal government with a change in presidential administration, and even more all the funding that is supporting such an effort.

The Heritage Project leadership has said they worked with Trump and he’s been aware of and supportive of Project 2025. It’s not JUST that former Trump admin worked on it, the creators have explicitly stated he participated!!!

Even some Democrats wanted a ban on TikTok too. So, some of Project 2025 contain Democrat’s policies as well. I don’t agree with everything in the Project, but it is mostly reasonable to restore our Republic.
