Fact check: DNC's claims on Project 2025

The conservative policy blueprint known Project 2025 was featured heavily on stage the first night of the Democratic National Convention. The collection of proposals designed to aid the next Republican president, published by the conservative Heritage Foundation, includes overhauls in the executive branch and the elimination of some Cabinet agencies.

Former President Donald Trump and his campaign have worked to distance themselves from the project, though some of the proposals mirror Trump's. Democrats have made the lengthy document a focus of their campaign.
