Great video as usual. The last street fight I was almost in (about 5 years ago) I was able to avoid blows (against 3 guys) by following some of your tips. This was before your channel existed so I can say from personal experience that your advice really can work.

Most important for me at the start of the altercation was making sure that the 2 "wingmen" couldn't flank me while the main guy squared off against me. Then taking a step back with my hands up but in a fighting position so that he couldn't surprise me. When he feinted I just took a slight step back so he was still out of range. I think he realized that I wasn't going to hit unless he really came in. He also saw that his yelling and feinting did not faze me, as I just kept focusing on his body and not his mouth. He called me some names and left. Yeah, it was not an "I knocked out the dickhead" ending, but it was also not an, "I had to spend the day explaining to the police why I knocked out dickhead and countering the lies the 3 of them surely would have told" ending. I'll take that result.

BTW quibble: I think that last street fight between the kids was actually a liver shot, not a solar plexus punch.

It would be usefull if you could talk about two things here: 1. the legal aspects (because you would be the one throwing the first blow and hopefully the only one to throw) and 2. the psichological aspect: when a bigger person comes foreward as you described, the intimidation factor is huge. It might work for you (you are not intimidated because, in fact, even thow you might be the smaller one, you are an elite boxer, so you are way more dangerous than him). For someone with no experience, a thousand thoughts go through our head: "maybe I shouldn't throw because I won't be able to do damage, but I would provoke him more / give him real reason to attack me".

I find that people who try and do big swinging punches can't actually hit. I was hit multiple times some years ago. I didn't defend myself, but the punches didn't knock me down. I made a very bad move (turned my back on him) and was told by a street fighter that I could've been badly hurt. Luckily, the guy didn't really know fighting. I've learnt since then, so hopefully I'd deal with it next time (if it happens) . Great video 👍🏻

It's a good video. That first scenario looked like a scary movie. But you never know - lots of strange and crazy people out there.

Tips:
When you are in close range against your opponent, make sure to relax your arm and do a natural stance and not a fighting stance. After that, use your powerful hook by stepping your dominant leg backwards. Make sure to hit your opponent in their jaw because the jaw is the weakest thing for street fighters. I learned this from Valentyn Trostianchuk. You can go find his channel for Effective Boxing for Self Defense.

Lots of self-defence specialists use a similar strategy: using the upraised palms as if to show you don't want trouble. They tend to hit the jaw/base of the nose with a single or double palm heel. It looks less violent than a clenched fist on CCTV. A double palm strike in particular, can simply look like a forceful push to the face, rather than a strike.

You should tell us your street fight stories Tony 💯
I’m really interested in knowing them

It's simple. Smaller guys: Watch out with the ground game, they are good at it. Taller guys: Get in kissing distance, they can't do anything then. Thicc boys: Do not let them throw a punch at your face or you might be rocked. DISTANCE IS KEY WITH SMALLER GUYS AND THICC BOYS.

Idk those judo throws at the beginning looked pretty badass. If you got thrown on the concrete, most ppl wouldn't move after.
